Vacuum Diagrams

Several other vacuum diagrams.
Manifold Heater
In 1981 or 1982 AMC changed the intake manifold to use an electric manifold heater.
This heater may also have been used on some of the early YJs with the BBD carb.
What a great place for a minor vacuum leak.
The heater is fastened directly under the carb by three 1/4"-20 bolts.
There is a paper gasket and an o-ring.
It is impossible to remove the heater without loosening both maifolds from the head.
Best practice would be to completely remove the manifolds from the engine to service the heater.
